EXAM REVIEW - GRADE 10

STUDY THE FOLLOWING:


VERBS:

- forming passé composé of reflexive verbs (verbs w/ se use être and past participle agrees w/ subject)

- forming imparfait
- uses of imparfait
- choosing passé composé vs. imparfait

- forming conditionnel
- uses of conditionnel
- conditionnel sentences (si + imparfait, conditionnel)

- forming subjonctif
- uses of subjonctif



PRONOUNS:

- meaning of le, la, les, me, te, se, nous, vous, lui, leur, y, en
- what each of the above pronouns replace
- where to place each pronoun in a sentence  (before verb or before infinitive if 2 verbs)
- position of more than one pronoun in sentence  (le before lui, y before en, etc.)

- meaning of qui, ce qui, que, ce que, dont, ce dont
- when to use each of the above pronouns
- how to join 2 sentences using these pronouns
- verbs + de (use dont or ce dont)



PREPOSITIONS + GEOGRAPHIC LOCATIONS:

- meaning of à, au (aux), en, de (du)
- when to use each preposition (à = to a city, au = to masc country, de = from fem country, etc.)
- how to distinguish masc vs. fem country, province, state
- exceptions (Japon is island but considered masc country, etc.)



EXPRESSIONS IMPERSONNELLES:

- meaning of each (il est nécessaire de = it is necessary to)
- negative forms
